Deep groove ball bearings

Deep groove ball bearings are the most common type of rolling bearings and they are widely used in variety of applications, they are consequently available in many executions and sizes. Deep groove ball bearings are generally divided into 2 main types, i.e. single row and double row.

Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings
Single row deep groove ball bearings are considerably flexible in applications. They are designed to be simple, and suitable for very high speed operations, and yet required minimum level of maintenance. The balls roll in the deep raceway groove, with a great conformity between the rolling elements and the raceway has enabled it to accommodate axial loads in both directions even at high speeds, in additional to radial loads.

Double Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings
The design of double row deep groove ball bearings is in correspondence to single row deep groove ball bearings. Similarly, there is high conformity between the rolling elements and the raceway, the balls roll at the deep and constant raceway groove, accommodating high axial loads in both directions. Double row deep groove ball bearings are very suitable in a situation where a single row deep groove ball bearing carrying capacity is inadequate. With its similar bore and outer diameter, double row deep groove ball bearings are slightly wider than single row bearings, but have greater capability to accommodate higher loads.
