Design and operating principle
All NTE thrust ball bearings share the same basic architecture in accordance with ISO standards, consisting of the following elements:
- Fixed ring – fixed on the shaft and absorbs axial loads.
- Loose ring (one or two, depending on load direction) – has clearance between its inner diameter and the shaft and transfers axial load to the housing.
- Ball and cage assembly made of steel or brass – ensures smooth rolling.
- Spherical seat washers (optional: U2.., U3.., U4..) – compensate for angular misalignment of the entire bearing within the housing, provide centering, and ensure uniform load distribution across the raceways.
